Songbirdnest.com | Songbird Media Player

Take a good look. Songbird. The future. The guys behind winamp are at it again and they have picked Firefox as their platform. An open-source, cross-platform standards-based media player. Can I tell you how overjoyed I am about this? This is just the people to take the Firefox platform to the next level. They have already solved problems that have been bugs in bugzilla for years, like the ability to switch themes at runtime (while still playing music!!). Granted it's still a 0.1 release ( yeah, that's right oh-dot-one ) so I'm sure there is a lot of smoke and mirrors, but thes e guys are the real deal and this is going to be AWESOME.

Also, check out last.fm. It's a plugin for you media player that sends what you listen to to their website and creates a profile for you. It's cool and worth a look. (and yes someone is already working on a plugin for Songbird.

Is that a screw top?

Winemaking Industry on Yahoo! News Photos

Yup, this porn star, Savanna Samson, has enterd the wine market. After starring in a film with porn legend Jenna Jameson, and several dozen others it seemed like time to release a wine label. As it turns out the wine is very good, made by some Italian guy and scored 90+ on some wine-guy's review. So she picked the right winery.

The pink foil is a nice touch I think.

1,500 Venezuelans Pose Nude for Artist on Yahoo! News Photos

I just had to try dragging and posting using Flock. That last post was crazy easy and this looks to be just as kick-ass.

Flock
This is my first post using Flock. I'm still a little confused about exactly what they are doing here, but it's mozilla based and looks pretty good and connected to my blog in about 2 seconds so it was great! It is tab-based, found my regular firefox profile and imported bookmarks and stuff. Looks like it is trying to be a Browser-with-extras type of thing. Kind-of picking a subset of the really useful firefox extensions out there and customizing a browser  release with that. Could be very interesting.
